If you have submitted the ER-1 return on the ACES website, then there is no way you can amend the return as there are no provisions under Central Excise Laws to amend the return as under Service Tax Law, there are specific provisions for amending the return. Thus, the only thing which you can do is to inform your Range Officer about the mistake in the return so that it may be amended at his end.

RESPECTED SIR,

We have uploaded our ER-1 monthly Excise Return in aces.gov.in on 07/10/2012 after that we have observed 3 error in ER- submission,

Please guide me how to correct our filed return argent.

take a print out of the return submitted, make rectification by pen, and put initials there, submit the same to R/O with a letter making request to make correctiono in system.
