Dear Forum Members,
We made a clerical error during efiling of ER 1, online and submitrted the same receving the acknowledgement number. After which we realised the clerical error. Now we tried amending ER 1, but could not.
We request this forum to please assist us as to how do we modify the submitted ER 1.

You dont worry man, First of all you understand what wil happen after filing online returns. After succesfull filing of ER1 returns in online, no modification at assesse end. But that returns go to the conserned Range Superintendent (RO) level. You go to the your Range Officer (Superintendt) tell that clearical error, how it happened , you satisfy him, then he will modify your E-Filing ER1-Return while Review of your returns. |

of the clarical error does not reflect any change in "revenue" R/O will do it pleasent way
yes you can contact your range supdt and file one correction letter for clearical error and take acknowlegement for same as it prevention from taking any audit point in future. There is not provision for revise return under rule 12 of CER 2002.
dear don't worry,
First make it clear what will be the correct fig accordingly make a manual ER-1. submit it along with a suitable letter addressing to Range Suptd.He will rectify it at the time of reveiw of your ER-1 .
