You need to clear the CPT exam first. On passing the same, you can appear for the IPCC exam.

Thanks for the prompt reply sir

But the thing is that i heard that if we have done our Degree no need to write PE1(CPT) we can go for PE2(IPCC) Exam...So what is your reply on  this sir.

Earlier, in the old course, students who have completed graduation were exempted from giving the foundation (PE1) exam. The old course is now replaced with a new one.

Under the new course, the exemption of foundation of exam (now known as CPT) is not given to anybody.

Dear Sandeep

Though u have cleared MBA but as per new rule in CA Act you must have first clear CPT [Common Proficiency Test] then after only u get admission in IPCC.

Student who had clear 12th, B.Com, M.com or MBA everybody must have to clear CPT exam then after he will be eligible..

Agreed....

Agreed....

Hey Sandeep I'm too planning to go for CA after a break from studies.. I have my own business.... now I think should go for CA to understand the financial aspects of it better.

Can anyone tell me if one clears in single attempt then whats the min duration to complete CA ?

Thanks in advance

 its about 4.5 years

however when you are in training cannot be active in service or business its a full time job

If you want to understand finance or specialise yourself for better vservice oppurtunities there are other courses like CFP or CFA as well

Thanks Ksh*tij.

Well the issue regarding CFA is only this that AICTE has not permitted CFA- USA to conduct further exams in India which was fought in court and CFA- USA lost therefore if you want to use this deignation in INDIA it is not valid however you can go for CFA from ICFAI which is valid in India but this is not valid in USA and Canada.

Certified financial Planner (CFP) :

Well these guys deal with individual needs i.e. they will plan for financial needs of an Individual during his life time.

This course is recognised in India by Financial Planning Standard Board of India which is associate with lots of other countries thus giving you an international certification. On behalf of FPSB this course is conducted in India by several recognised like:

ICFP,IIFP,Bajaj

It is divided in six different modules (syllabus attached herewith).

You also need to have three years experience to claim this designation however you can join this course anytime after class 12.

There will be online 5 objective papers and one theoratical case study paper(Module 6)

People already having professional degrees like CA,CS,CWA,lawyers ,MBA etc. can take benefit of challenge status i.e. they need to clear sixth module only to be called CFP.

There are huge oppurtunities for these people as many banking Cos. are hunting them

Please revert for further queries .
