Eligibility to appear in ca finals

Can a student appear for ca final exams after completing the articleship of 2 years i.e. serving last 12 months of articleship as on 1 day of May 20XX.

No, you can only appear when you will be serving last 6 or less months of articleship.
For eg. Your articleship ends on 10th August 2018, you can apply for May 2018 attempt and not prior to that.
After you complete 2.5 years of articleship you become eligible to appear for CA Final.
