Relief under Section 89(1) is allowed to those who receive salary, gratuity, family pension in arrears (for which Form 10E is to be filed)

you have to disclose total income as income including salary and other sources income . .  .

If a person has salary income and income from other sources( bank interest) how to treat that

Bank interest is taxed as on accrual basis .......... or it cannot be called arrears........ so no question of division possible........... it has to be assessed as of current year's income only.

Form 10E should be filed only for salary arrears, if any.
