Education books pay in reverse charge
If a dealer deals in education books and pays freight on them, is he liable to pay reverse charge because books are tax free?

Summary: Transportation of education books by a Goods Transport Agency (GTA) is not exempt from GST. As a registered business, if you hire a GTA that does not charge GST via forward charge, you are liable to pay GST on the freight charges under the Reverse Charge Mechanism.
