Hi,

Request you to consider this thread as a discussion thread and do not hesitate to share your opinion. I hope this thread would give us an insight about the actual and real time importance of education in our lives.

Through this thread I would like to discuss one thing. Do you really think your education is actually helping you in your survival considering the fact that today’s life is extremely tuff?

We all are aware that almost all consumable and other items are costly nowadays. Price are increasing like anything and this increase is badly affecting the affordability of consumer w.r.t. consumable items and other necessary requirement of life like education, accommodation and health etc. Personally I feel that common Indian are quite hard working but due to poor and one sided policies of Government, it is not easy for common man to survive despite of his/her hard work.

Considering the above tuff situation I would like to ask you two questions which are as follows:

  1. Do you think the education you are pursuing right now is going to help you in such tuff conditions in future?
  2. Do you think your education is helping and playing a big role as far as today’s survival is concerned?

As far as my situation is concerned I can proudly say that my education is really helping me as far as my and my family's survival is concerned because my education has allowed me to earn reasonably good amount for my family. Today I feel that without good education it is very hard to survive nowadays though everybody who hasn’t got opportunity to study is surviving and facing the life challenges because of their hard work.

I would like to thank my parents for making me aware about the importance of education in life and blessed me with good education as there is no substitute of education.

You all are invited to share your kind words/opinion.

Thanks

Ankur

Thank you Ankur Sir for coming up with an interesting subject..

I wonder, how we would have been survived, without being educated.., it might have been miserable for sure..

We met so many illiterates in our lives, and their struggle in day to day life,

at the same time, there are many educated, well qualified too struggling to survival, reasons are many.. lack of jobs, or their incapability to present themselves in a better manner to get the job.

From the ancient days, "purpose of education" has been changing, During days of Gurukul, "Gaining Knowledge" was more important. and purpose of gaining knowledge is for the welfare of society.

Then education has become imp tool to become a degree holder to earn and to take care of his family.

and now.. one wants to educate himself to make his career and to achieve success..,  for many of today's generation, career, success is more imp than parents, family, children.

Its so sad, many students ask questions like is CA useful, is CMA is worth doing... etc.. it shows today's youngsters more interested in the market value of the courses.  in such cases, survival becomes difficult..

Rather they could have thought of increasing the value of the courses,

Education is always meant for better survival.., I think one shd give more importance to gaining knowledge rather than marks, certificates., and need to explore our own skills, talents, creativity.. If we are well knowledged and skilled, we can survive even in times of recession...

and about surviving in the midst of high prices, surviving has become tough.., but may be it depends on our priorities.., I wonder.., One is ready to pay lacs for LCD Tv, but we say 20/- per kg tomato is too costly..,

Education sure gets a piece of bread for living.., it will be with us through out our life, may be we are complicating our life by expecting lot and lot from it...

Thanks a lot for sharing your observation/opinion. You have rightly observed that today's youngsters more interested in the market value of the courses rather than increasing the value of the course. It is indeed a fact that with good education one can survive in present society but importance of education is much more than that. Education has definitely emerged as an important tool of better survival considering the present scenario.
