Ecommerce service to Foreign Company

Hi,

I have a query. Is it possible to provide ecommerce support to a foreign company? Collect the sales amount in Indian Bank, keep the commission and transfer the remaining amount to the foreign business person.

Can this scenario be legally achieved?

Thanks.

While it is possible to provide e-commerce support services to a foreign entity, it is a highly regulated process. You must register for GST (as an E-commerce Operator), ensure compliance with the Equalization Levy (2% on gross consideration), and strictly follow FEMA guidelines for inward/outward remittances through an Authorized Dealer bank. Consulting a tax professional is strongly advised to structure your operations and avoid legal risk.
