E way bill for two vehicles

Eway Bill 576 views 8 replies

For imported goods after custom clearance, we were generating E way bill, under -inward- import with bill of entry as the document  and transporting to our stores within about 25 Kms. Now our incoming shipment is slightly bigger and we may have to transport the goods in two vehicles. E way bill will not take two vehicle nos. What is the procedure? Can we opt inward - others- and generate different Eway bills for each vehicle with delivery challans as document ,listing the goods carried by that vehicle?

See rule 55 of cgst rules. multiple e-way bills would be generated as per the delivery challans prepared by you for the portion of goods carried in each vehicle.
In such situation follow as below :
Select the option SKD/CKD
Raise a single invoice for the supply of goods, though getting transported via different vehicles Raise delivery challan for each of the vehicles drawing reference to the invoice number (same for all the delivery challans) Each Vehicle to carry delivery challan along with the certified copy of the invoice Eway bill to be generated for every delivery challan generated for different vehicles Original invoice to be sent along with the last consignment

Dear Mr. Rawat, Many thanks Over seas suppliers invoice will be in foreign currency. More over supplier is URP in India. And where to mention bill of entry as it is imported?

Dear Mr. Rawat.

Thanks again for your continued help. We have been following the same procedure advised bu you. But now we want to enter 2 vehicle nos. In the part B where vehicle no is to be entered, only limited characters, sufficient for entering one vehicle no, can only be typed. I think your suggestion of opting for SKD / CKD seems to be OK. There we opt Inward-> SKD /CKD -> Delivery challan as the document. We make 2 DCs, listing the goods carried by each vehicle and generate 2 E way bills one for each DC and with corresponding vehicle no. DCs will have reference of BOE and original Invoice and copies will be carried by both vehicles.

Trust this is OK. The user manual for E way bill says that the certified copies of invoice and BOE are to be carried. Who has to certify? Is self certification enough?

You can use the option of delivery challan and generate two E-Way Bills

dear shankar

yes its self certification.
