E-invoicing for a travel agency above Rs 5 crore:
• E-invoicing applies to all registered persons with AATO above Rs 5 crore, for B2B supplies, exports and credit or debit notes. Exempted categories: insurers, banks and financial institutions (including NBFCs), GTAs, passenger transport service providers, multiplex cinema admission, SEZ units, and government departments (Notf 13/2020 as amended).
• A travel agency (tour operator or air ticketing agent) isn't in the exempt list, unless it provides passenger transport services (exempt from e-invoice). Air ticketing agents' commission invoices are covered.
• Register on the IRP (einvoice1.gst.gov.in) and generate IRNs for B2B invoices.
