Can E-invoice be generate in back date? What is time limit to generate e-invoice?

There is no time limit to generate an e invoice but goods can't move without e invoice
Back date means how many months back?
Want to generate e-invoice for 1st April, 2022.
Usually what ever IRNs generated through e-Invoice portal in the current month will automatically display in same month GSTR 1. e-Invoice Portal will allow old dated Invoices (Prior Months), how ever it will not display in particular month GSTR 1. We have to enter manually.
