E filing after the due date

Hi,

In INCOMETAX EFILING, After the due date ie., yesterday i have filled the returns for the assesment year 2011-12, which have been done wrongly and i have to cancel, and i have to upload the new one. but i couldn't able to upload new one, it says "Only one Original ITR can be filed u/s 139(4). Please change the section and retry."

Can any one help me please.

As, u have filed belated return...... so it can't be revise...........According to Section 139(5) of Income Tax Act.... only timely filed return can be revised.... As in your case you originaly filed a belated return so it can't be revised......

Sorry but, You will not be able to file the e-return or even manually for AY 11-12..beause the same was to be filed latest by 31.03.2013....maeaning thereby maxium 2 yrs are allowed for filling a return for a particluar FY/AY ..

As per Income Tax Act, Belated return can not be revised.
