why would he want to e file the same return again?

Just for e-filing it...

No he can't do this & also if he want to revise the return i.e. due to some changes the time limit for same has been expired i.e. can be revised till 31.03.2013

There is some correction in name. She didn't notice spelling mistake at that time.

Any other way that it can be corrected... or revised return...

You can't do anything about it now. File your current return correctly now!
