    how to check e payment of gar-7/tr6 challan of service tax-
    my client pays service tax in advance -submit it to client -release the bill
client habitted to bank stamp on gar7-tr6 challan by paying cheque- no problem

    but now on e payment there is no immediate stamp on tr6 challan-
    client how to cheq we paid or not-nsdl site is not responding on this

    pls advie forum friends-

When we make the payment of service tax via e-payment facility, at the bottom of the screen, one line is available which reads something like "challan of service tax". click on this and u will see the GAR-7 challan on ur screen. In this ur e-cheque no. is also mentioned. take the print out of it. It will serve the purpose.

thanks for response sir, ok what u rclarified - that echeque no. we know and service tax people also knows - even customer also orally agreed but Doubt is possibility of mislead
stopped to release the bill-first time we r conveneynced-but every time it is not possible.

what way he can check we paid or not any online checking available - any pls help in this sir

When we make e-payment, service tax challan is generated through the system. We can use this challan as the proof of payment. there can be no additional proof.
