Duty free licence for import of material from other country

First of all, the material shud be used in export of goods. Check wherher Standard input output norms (SION) are available for the said good. Or else you have to apply for it through Norms committee of the DGFT.

Licence you have to apply is called advance authorisation. simaltaneously you can apply for sion. Application is required to be done to the regional DGFT office. Online application, which has to be submitted online and a printed copy of the same has to be submitted manually along with supporting documents
