The last date of submitting mvat audit report for F.Y. 2007-08 was 31st January,2009 and was extended upto 2nd March, 2009 subject to fulfillment of certain conditions as per circular from below link.

i hv gone thru the link given by u and got the details for submitting the vat audit report. I hv asked  specifically for the acknowledgement cause my CA has given me a vat audit report which has no acknowledgement from Sales tax dept.

Acknowledgement may be given on seprate covering letter that you have to receive..
