Hi Members !! i just wanted to know about the due date for e-filing of revised service tax return. Since, with the recent amendments, due date for e-filing returns was extended upto 26.12.2011, but if a taxpayer has e-filed his return on say, 15.12.2011 and now he wants to revise then upto which date can he e-file revised return ? Please help !!!

It will be 90 days from the filing of original return u/r 7 of Service Tax Rules, 1994. In your case as you have filed your return on 15.12.2011 last date for filing revised return will be 14.03.2012 (i.e., 90 days from 15.12.2012). Return should be filed on or before this date.
