Dt summary - vg or tn manoharan?

if im in your position i would never read icai modules for DT. its strict no-no.

tn manoharan book is overly simplified

Neither of them cover practical questions. You can buy bangar's compiler which has lot of past year questions and summary for each chapter.

For practical problems, V K Singhania

please keep two books for dt- Practical problems V K Singhania and for quick revision T N Manoharan

For IDT, go for Yogendra Bangar

you can also take coaching in ALDINE from Satish Mangal sir as he has good teaching style

Direct Taxes paper is like an ocean and it would be tough to suggest a particular book to make your life simpler. However, if you have ample time at your disposal Vinod Gupta's book may be ideal. The best strategy for securing exemplary marks in your examination is to choose a standard text and study from it diligently everyday. Where ever possible try to make a gist of the concepts in your own hand writing, which can be helpful at the time of revision. Just believe in your inner strengths and keep practising, you will do well. Best of luck.

Expert what about using pm and study material...? please guide....

Study material language over a period of time has drastically improved. Yes, you may use study material on a selective basis for some chapters. Some topics for instance NRI taxation or TP is covered in depth by some authors , then in such cases the reference material becomes useful. Practice Manual is a good source for revision and it will aid you in your presentation skills.
