Doubt regarding cash flow from investing activities

Cash flow is based on cash inflow and outflow of an entity duirng a certain period.
If it is not recieved on investment then it cannot be included in investing activity.
itwill be reportedonly when iti is actually received.
If Interest is accrued but not due, then effect of it from cash inflow is to be removed & no inflow from investing activity wil be considered.
