Doubt regarding ca final idt supplementary study paper

For your May 2016 and November 2016 exam, Finance Act 2015 is applicable. You need to go through supplementary material released for this attempt. If you have been referring to a main text book and which is latest, it would cover the entire book written as per the provisions contained in Finance Act, 2015. 

The idea in issuing supplementary book covering amendments is to highlight what are the changes that has occured as per the Finance Act, 2015. 

Ok.. But if i want to go through amendments of FA 2014 ,then i must refer supplementary study paper issued for may15 and nov15 attempt?? Or all amendments of FA 2014 are also covered in may16, nov16 supplementary??

in my tuition material only FA2015 amendments are highlighted. FA 2014 amendments are not highlighted

As you will have to appear for May16 exam then refer Supplemet Study Paper (SSP) of FA 2015 which is relevant for May 16 & Nov 16 exams. So if you have any latest reference book then it will covere FA 14 & FA 15 amendments.

So focus more on FA 15 amendments & case laws of ICAI  rather than refering FA 14 amendments  because most of them already asked in May 15 & Nov 15 Exams so no need to refer FA 14 SSP.

If you have surplus time and only you  want to update u rself then refer FA 14, otherwise give enough time for FA 15 SSP and refer it Thoroughly from upcomoing  Exam point of view.

[A discussion on amendments made by the Finance Act, 2015, Significant Notifications/Circulars issued between 1st May, 2014 and 30th April, 2015 and New Foreign Trade Policy 2015 – 2020] - in supplementary study paper 2015 all these are included?? That means even amendments of FA 2014 are also included in FA 2015 SSP

As rightly mentioned by Mr.Finisher, the amendments of FA 15 is given importance in May and Nov 2016 exam, as the FA 14 amendments would already be asked in previous attempts. The idea behind asking questions from amendments is to find out how much students have updated their knowledge regarding the latest provisions. However, this does not mean the examiner will not ask questions of past amendments, in that case it will not be called as amendments, it is termed as part of regular provisions.

Yes Circular, Notification & FTP 2015-2020 are included in FA 2015  as earlier given in Nov 15 RTP  & New Amendments inserted by FA 15 are additional. So Focus should be more on these amendments.
