Respected sir Iam a pensioner .During last financial year(2014-15) I was working as lecturer in a private college Pension & salary of the lectureship was together booked under sec 192 and shown as salary and that was 7.6 lakhs per annum.This finanancial year(2015-16) I have only pension against salary (ie) 3.6 only. Iwant to know whether INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT will ask the reason for reduction in salary ?Should I be asked to give documental proof by assessing officer

Dear Sir,
You file the return with the available income and any queries by income tax department will be through a notice, if any chance they ask any queries, then you can submit the proof. You do not need to worry !!!
You need not worry, Just File your ITR with Actual Figures of The current Financial Year.
