I have a doubt if one is enrolling for CS wid  more than 50% aggregate marks and  more than 50% percent marks in Costing and Financial Management in BCOM . will he be exempt from Paper II Company Accounts,Cost and Management Accounting in CS Execuitive program ?

One more query if one enrols for CS executive by feb 28 he will be eligible for both groups in dec and if one enrols by may 31st will be eligible for only one group in dec ??

Thanx a lot Ravi sir and Mansi. i got the information regarding exemption from Paper II Company Accounts,Cost and Management Accounting in CS Executive program if one scores 50% aggregate marks and  more than 50% percent marks in Costing /Financial Management in BCOM from ICSI file.

Correct me if i'm wrong .File has been attached for reference the information is available in 5th page second paragraph under the Head CS Exceutive Program.

I CALL ICSI OFFICE........THEY SAID IF U DID MBA.....MA WITH CORPORATE SECRETARYSHIP...THEN ONLY U CAN CLAIM EXEMPTION......

A B-COM STUDENT CAN'T CLAIM EXEMPTION IN ANY OF CS PAPERS

Thank you Rahul. If u see the file attached in ma previous post it mentions BCOM as well in 5th page second paragraph.

THEY SAID :

MBA ( WITH A SUBJECT "FINANCIAL A/C AS ONE OF THE SUBJECTS IN B-COM)

prasad u evn confused me...if it is so then evn i cud get an exemption....let me know if it gets cleared...

oh its clear...v cant get any exemption...it there ven u do mba....n along with dat had d subject at b'com level...

YES ................U R RIGHT

The full paragraph is reproduced below  from the ICSI file for claiming exemption in CS Executive :

"A candidate will be exempted from the following paper of the executive programme examination if he/she possesses the qualifiactions specified against each paper, having secured 50% or more marks in the aggregate and applies for exemption.

Company Accounts.Cost and management Accounting : M.A (Corporate Secretaryship)/M.com/M.B.A (with accountancy as one of the subjects at B.A (Corporate Secretaryship)/B.Com level and with full paper in cost accounting/ Management Accounting/ Financial Management at MA (Corporate Secretaryship)/M Com/MBA level and must have secured 50% marks in the subject concerned) from a recognised university."

@ Mansi and Rahul Bcom is a seperate eligibilty for examption as it is separated wid a slash in the above paragraph not to be clubbed with MBA dis is what my interpretaion is.

The words in bold mentions exemption in Company Accounts.Cost and management Accounting if one has done B.Com level and with full paper in cost accounting/ Management Accounting. is that correct ??

read it carefully...."M.B.A (with accountancy as one of the subjects at B.A (Corporate Secretaryship)/B.Com level and with full paper in cost accounting/ Management Accounting/ Financial Management at MA (Corporate Secretaryship)...........dats the condition....

thanx a lot Mansi for the reply. i think the drafting is a problem here.

Although not very convincing to me after reading the paragraph as drafted by ICSI.

Bt i think the ur right may be that  bcom clause has to be read with MBA.that is wt surprised me how can ICSI give exemption in CS executive for a BCom qualification..

THAT'S POINT I AM ALSO SAYING........

WELL  QUERY IS RESOLVED.....

Thanx again Rahul.
