Many months ago there is news regarding double stipend . there is also said that the same is approved by council and sent to government for another approval. But still no notification !!
So frds never expect double stipend . Institute never thinks about students, it always thinks about member.
If there is increase in fees then it will be done as soon as possible.

Still ther is no such notification issued by the ICAI on the said subject so don believe on any rumours.
Its like australia loosing game in cricket......wher chances are very less.
in Sept 2010 edition of news letter our president mentioned the stipend will be doubled on the basis of increase in the inflation rate..but offcourse there is no date has been specified when it is going to be implemented..

Its not a rumor, but maybe they are deliberately delaying it. Hope it get implemented soon
doesnt matter frnd, apne kaam / studies pe dhyaan do... our future father in law would bear it for us!!!!!:)
This is for the next generation. CAs wont pay on their on unless they are compelled to.
I dont understand why they require notification for increasing stipend when they do not pass any notification to increase the exam fees.
i think it makes CA COURSE free of COST
iam too much sad about our present stipend scenario.. its too low..
I dont think that the Institute should interfere in student's stipend. They shouldn't mention the minimum stipend at all.. Beacause of this every firm just pays the minimum, which is coming from many years..
If the minimum limit was not described, today our stipend would have gone up automatically atleast to 5000Rs. Because everyone is not so lazy as our institute.. And atleast Rs.5000 is justified in comparison to how much we work.
every chartered accountant is paying very less to the article assistants as compared to the kind of work we are doing, i think there should be some compulsion to pay the amount as a percentage of their tournover to the article student's or compensate as per the market situation.
REMEMBER : INSTITUTE IS FOR MEMBERS AND NOT FOR STUDENTS.
