Under the Head of House property, there is a deduction u/s 24 named Municipal Taxes. What is the definition of Municipal Taxes includes ?, Does the Society Charges are included within the definition of Municipal Taxes ?, Please answer with an appropriate judgment of IT authorities.
Maintenance to society is not municipal taxes and not deductible u/s 24. Municipal taxes is property taxes paid to local municipality.
