Certain documents are required to register your partnership firm successfully. The list of required documents goes as below;
Documents Required for Partnership Firm Registration
1. Partnership Deed
- Must be signed by all partners.
- Should include:
- Firm name and address
- Names and addresses of partners
- Nature of business
- Profit-sharing ratio
- Capital contribution
- Rules for admission, retirement, or dissolution
(Notarized on stamp paper of appropriate value depending on the state.)
2. PAN Card of All Partners
- Self-attested copies required.
3. Address Proof of All Partners
(Any one of the following)
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter ID
- Driving License
- Passport
4. Passport-size Photos of All Partners
5. Proof of Principal Place of Business
- If owned: Electricity bill / property tax receipt
- If rented: Rent agreement + NOC from landlord
6. PAN Card of the Partnership Firm
(Apply for a separate PAN after the deed is executed.)
7. Application for Registration (Form 1)
Submitted to the Registrar of Firms along with prescribed fees.
Optional but Recommended:
- GST Registration (if turnover exceeds limits)
- Shop & Establishment License (depending on state rules)
- Bank Account Opening Proof
