Document Attestation

Please someone guide us ? we have same Question!!!

Whether or not you are a practising CA, If the person requesting you to attest a document feels that your attestation will help him, then you may do so. And, for that you may use a suitable stamp too.

However, if you bungle in your attestation, or attest a document which is false, then you will be in a soup if the receiver of your attested document complains about you.

i want to know if i make a stamp what do i have to write, i mean if i make a stamp like"-

CA XYQ

MEMBERSHIP NO. XXXXX

WILL THIS DO ? OR DO I NEED TO WRITE "NUMBER INSTEAD OF NO." OR ANYTHING ELSE

If a CA in employment is attesting a document as "True copy Certified" with his stamp, Does it not constitute a voilation of code of ethics. Since, a CA in employment is not entitled to the attest function. Could you please provide some guidance.
