I am going to give my first CPT attempt in June 2011 and i am confused whether or not i should join coaching classes? Is it easy to clear CPT without coaching? And also, do our CPT results matter when we are going in for articleship or later?

Ya CPT is quite easy to go without classes ..... Concentrate well on accounts and law as dey are very scoring ..... 
N ur CPT marks dn't hold much importance in articleship or anywhere else ......

CPT is easy......it is in MCQ question-answer format....................Coaching would not be required........but for your convienancy you can join coaching class..................
it is just like an entrance exam................it does not matter a lot for articleship.............
cpt is not a difficult ,but you will focus on concepts and basics , i am also without coaching, attempt cpt and succeed
CPT is very easy...
just remember to concentrate on ur study material and rtp because most of the questions are from them only....
n all the best for ur xams :) i just cleard my cpt by studyin only 4 2 months n no coaching
