Dear sir / Madam

An individual person (Assessee) buy multiple of equity stocks through Demat account in various companies. He got dividends on quarterly based from various listed companies.

Assessee received dividend Rs.2, 200/- for the FY 2021-22 from multiple listed companies. This income is how to show in income tax return?  This dividend income is it taxable?

In ITR show three columns

  1. Dividends from Company -Other than u/s 2(22)(e).
  2. Dividends u/s 2(22)(e)
  3. others Income from units of MF etc.,

Above columns, which one is it selected?  Please give  me clarification.

Option 1 has to be selected
You have to show it as dividends from company other than 2(22)(e)
2(22)(e) might be deemed dividend. So you have to fill the details in the column 1

Dividend income tax free limit is it any available for Individual assessee?

Earlier it was there but now it's not there .
Dividend are taxable now.
It's fully taxable
If you declare your source of income and submit itr acknowledgement. Then tax deducted on dividend can be claimed back after filing of returns. It's true they deduct income tax from dividend .But you don't file your returns you cannot claim it back.
Need not be refund. Even tax may have to pay if total income is above 10lacs
Since the querist does not mention anything regarding the same , the dividend is less than Rs. 10 lacs then Sec 2(22) has certain provisions. So it's obligatory on the part of the assesse to furnish his details of income to respective companies.
There is no exemption to dividend. Now it's fully taxable. Tax refund may or may not be there

Thank you all for your responses.

👍🏻👍🏻
