Dividend to securities doubt

Generally dividend is paid on Equity and Preference shares. Dividend on preference shares may be aid on yearly basis. Dividend on equity shares can be paid on yearly or in  frequency as company/ Board may decide. Of course dividend can be paid only on the declaration by the shareholders in compliance of the provisions of the Act . Regards
