Dividend - govt companies..wrong answer in rtp??

MCA has issued a notification u/s 462 to provide certain exemptions to Government companies. Refer notification G.S.R. 463(E) dt 5th of June, 2015 for more information.

Yes i read this..but the interpretation of this notification is " govt companies are not required to follow the conditions prescribed under section 123.."Declaration and payment of dividend rules".

They can freely pay the dividends out of past profits. They are not required to fulfil the conditions.

This interpretation is what CA faculties are teaching.

i have referred to 3 faculties.. all are saying that interpretation of this amendment is they can freely pay the dividend.

Still confused 😕
