Query:- Section 164(1) clause (d)
if any person who was in imprisonment for 4 months and 5 year has not been elapsed from the date of expiry of imprisonment, my question is whether that person is disqualified for appointment of director.

No because imprisonment for not less than 6 months and a period of 5 years has not left from the date of expiry of the sentence provided that if a person has been convicted of any offence and sentenced in respect their of imprisonment for a period of seven years or more he shall not be eligible to be appointed as a director in any company
