Police asking for client's balance sheet and it return copies in writing through local police. Can I provide to the investigating officer in a criminal case, when client is at large and without consent in writing. What is established proceedure in this regard. If the police is asking this info in writing, you may disclose the info to them. You may also add a covering letter attached to the documents referring to their request for info pursuant to their investigation of a client who is accused in a criminal case.
