Director role without being mentioned in the company/llp master data

Hello,

Can some one help me out with the following?

1) Can a person be appointed as a Director or a Managing Director without being mentioned in the Master Data / Company License?

2) In case the role as Managing Director has been approved by the existing board of directors can he sign documents? (without being registered in the Master Data)
