Dear Friends,
I was wondering is there any way that i can do direct port clearance ( Import ) at chennai without getting the containers to CFS. The volume of containers is so high that i am paying huge money to CFS. ITs around 100 cntrs per BL. I am not an ACP client. But still feel there must be some provisions to clear such containers.

It couldnt be done if you are not ACP client. As you have good volume under one BL. you can nominate the CFS as shipping line doesnt have any hold or neither they can control you in choosing your own CFS.
The shipping business is very low and this volume in Chennai is good to hold you an upperhand in negotitating the rates. If any queries please do get it touch with me.
