Whether a statutory auditor can file KYC of directors/ MGT 4 from his own login ID

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a statutory auditor can file the DIR-3 KYC form for directors using their own login ID. While the MCA system isn't strictly user-specific for most filings, the auditor must be registered and associated with the company. Crucially, the OTP for DIR-3 KYC verification will be sent to the director's personal email, which is essential for the process. The discussion also touches upon the annual KYC filing deadline and the Rs. 5000 late fee.

Any DIN holder who has already submitted eForm DIR-3 KYC in any of the previous financial years and who does not require update in any of his KYC details as submitted, may perform his annual KYC by accessing DIR-3 KYC web service. No fee is payable up to the due date of each financial year. After the due date, a fee of Rs.5000 shall be payable.

See, there is no prohibition as such that from which login ID you are filing, MCA system is not user specific ( Except Business User) than Other Filing Portals like IT, stock exchange portals,RBI...so in generality yes it can be done subject to DSC holder should be registered with MCA for filing and associated with the company...fot DIR3 KYC OTP shall come on directors perosnal ids ,so that will be required only... ),
