Dear friends,
I am trying to file DIR-3 KYC on MCA site, after filling-up details it generates a challan for late fee Rs.5000.
As far as we know, last date is 30th September, and we are filing in August, so it should not ask for late fee.
What could be wrong, please guide.

Pls check that in F. Y. 2023-24, you have filed DIR - 3 KYC in before Sep 2023, if not then you shall be liable for late fee of Rs. 5000/- as appearing on MCA Portal

I think you are right, looks like last year KYC was not filed, so they are charging penalty.
