My Company wants to appoint Japanese person as a Director of the Company .
Japanese identity details nowhere mentions fathers name . MCA cell will not accept details without proofs of fathers name.
Kindly suggest me the way to come out of this tricky situation.

Japanese working in my Company hardly knows English . If you can explain me the details of the residential proof generic name, then I will be able to explain them what exactly I meant..
Generally in foreign countries where the pass port does not contain father's name of the pass port holder, a document known as "house hold register" is issued by the Govt Bodies of these countries. The said register contain various information eg name, place of birth, residential address,parents' name etc. Again the register is issued in their local language,eg house hold register in Germany is issued in german language.
The house hold register is accepted as document of proof by MCA authorities while issuing DIN.But the same has to be translated in english by authorised translator.
Also you can contact DIN centre over the telephone in Noida.They are really helping hand will guide you in this matter properly.
I am writing all these from my personal experience gathered while getting DIN for a german citizen.
i also request you to please go through the Form DIN - 1.Last page of the form contains guidelines for the DIN Application. Please go through the point no 7 of the guide lines.It shall clear your query to some extent.
In case of foreign nationals, father's name is not mandatory.

You need not worry. I also face the same problem. You do not mention the father's name in the DIN- 1 Form and still it will get approved. I have processed atleast 5 to 6 applications of my company with out any problem. My company is having Japanses Directors.

Dear Mayuresh, you are right that there is no need for any documentory proof of father's name because in most of the cases of foreign national citizen, the father's name is unavailable but note one thing that when you will be filling the DIN Form , the name of father is mendatory i.e. you will ahve to fill the name of father although the proof is not available. and for sure the DIN will get approved.
