suppose the PAN no. was already provided at the time of optaining the DIN but there is mistamatch between name appear on din and pan ( though the pan no. was provided correctly ).................. in this case also DIN 4 needs to be filed?

Yes, DIN 4 would be required if you want to get the name corrected even though you provided the right name when the DIN1 was filed. Have no other option.

In case the details on PAN are wrong you need to first correct the details on PAN then file DIN 4 to update the correct details on the database of Ministry as well.

I agree with Ankur's opinion, but the correction of PAN details would take more than amonth, but we have to submit DIN-4 by 30th Sept 2011. Moreover, the DIN would be disabled if DIN-4 is not filed within the due date, so the annual filing etc; of the company would also be affected.
