The director of one of the company has changed his address.What are the formalities for filinf DIN 4.

Do we need to attach a letter from the Director, intimating the change of address to the Company and what else has to be done??

Dear Sakshi,

Yes u have to file DIN 4 Physically, any changes in detail provide in DIN 3 u have to file DIN 4 Form which is available on MCA portal take print out attach proof send it to DIN cell, Noida.

You have send DIN-4.

Enclose necessary documents verified by a public notary or gazetted officer or certified professional
(Chartered accountant/ Company secretary/ Cost accountant) evidencing change in particulars mentioned above.

In case any proof enclosed is in language other than Hindi or English then the certified copy of the same in English or Hindi shall be required to be enclosed. It should be certified by the same professional who has certified other proof.

In case the Director submitting change in particulars is not residing in India, the certification of attached
documents and the photograph may be done by a notary in the home country of the applicant or the Managing Director/ CEO of the Company on which he is a Director or the Company Secretary in full time employment of the Company. Further, in the case of a Foreign National, certified copy of the valid passport should be enclosed.

The photograph of the applicant being affixed on the form should also be attested/ certified.

The Ministry has , in order to speed up and simplify the process to obtain a DIN, recommended the below mentioned procedure .

1. Application for DIN will be made on eForm ; No physical submission of documents shall be accepted and for this purpose Scanned documents along with verification by the applicant will be attached with the eForm. Only online fee payment will be allowed i.e. No challan payment

2. The application can also be submitted online by the applicant himself using his DSC.

3. DIN 1 eForm can be digitally signed by the professional who shall also confirm that he has verified the particulars of the Applicant given in the application.

4. Where the DIN 1 is verified by the professional, the DIN will be approved by the system immediately online.

5. In other cases the DIN cell will examine the application and same shall be disposed of within one or two days.

6. Companies (Directors Identification Number) Rules, 2006 are being amended on the above lines.

7. Penal action against the applicant and professional certifying the DIN application in case of false information / certification as per provisions of section 628 of the Act will be taken in addition to action for professional misconduct and revocation of DIN, allotted on false information

8. The above procedures is expected to enable allotment of DIN on the same day.

9. The above procedures applies to filing of DIN 4 intimating changes in particulars of Directors.

A notification to notify the aforesaid procedure is being issued. After issue of
necessary notification, the applicant/professionals/DIN Cell are advised to
follow the notified procedures for allotment of DIN.

However till now such notification is not issued, therefore, Form DIN 4 is to be filed physically untill the date of notification.

Dear sir, i am filing Din-4 of one of our client, i am getting some problem while prescrutiny of the form, it showing that "the form version your using is not latest please download a freash form and submit again" i downloaded new form and again it showing same message please help me in this regard.. Thanks in advance
