We are a newly formed import and trading unit and we have an Importer's excise number. Do we need a separate excise number for passing on the CENVAT benefit to customers for materials purchased domestically (In short do we need a different excise registration for the domestic purchase). We intend to do both import and trade from the same premises.
For passing on CVD & SAD, you have to obtain Excise dealer registration separately.
