As per Part B
Generally you should consider part-B for tax filing since it has gross salary and also various deductions.

But you must reconcile with part-A.

You can do the same thing from payslip ,bank statement, form 26AS & Form 16 part-A
Reconciliation is not required

Both certificates are different purpose
Reconciliation is required
Eswar Reddy s is right
otherwise in future it will create problems
Why reconciliation required ?
In Part A certificate it says february2019 to March 2020.
in Part B it says March 2019 to April 2020.
total salary in both certificates are different
how to reconcile both?

Your client occupation is what

Salaried government employee

Ok I mean banker teacher or other

As in giving salary month for year or fy is different in different sectors

For some govt employees it varies like this

In Part A certificate it says february2019 to March 2020.
in Part B it says March 2019 to April 2020.

total salary in both certificates are different
how to reconcile both?

can anyone please help me .?
Part B is right way to calculate taxable amount.
@ Shine

Salary can be different due to various deductions but it should match either gross amount or net amount..

Even you should check Tds deducted in part A and Tax payable in part-B . Generally tax amount will match but you need to check the salary..

There can be small difference to the extent of deductions like Section 10, 24 & 80C to 80u.So you can easily get reason for difference through simple reconciliation..

If Salary as per part A is 70lacs and Gross salary as per section 17(1) is 20lacs , you get notice for sure .

To avoid this you just find out the reason for difference that is called reconciliation..

Regret for the delayed response
I completely agree with Eswar Reddy S, because from AY-2020-21 , one has to enter the salary amount in Tds Schedule.. Part-B will be taken for ITR filing but one has to verify the part-A. Some times there will be mistake from employer while filing ETDS returns for generating form 16's and other Tds certificates
