Difference in Dividend Income

216 views 9 replies
In my case the dividend received by me is more than the amount mentioned in Form 26As.

I want to offer the actual received amount for taxation, it will not match with the figure mentioned in Form 26As and moreover when I break the amount quarter wise there will be a mismatch.

What to do in this situation? Is there a solution for this problem!

Please advice.

No problem you should report the actual figure of dividend received
But that will not tally with the figure mentioned in the form 26As leading to error.
Please note that department has your PAN so all dividend s recd by you is known to them, since 26AS is not by dept they will reflect only amounts uploaded by respective companies. All companies don't upload dividend data so 26AS is not complete.report actual dividend recd
Report actual dividend received only, need not required to enter 26AS dividend amount
Thank you, will do as advises.

It's ok Karun ji
26AS FIGURES DOES NOT MATCH .
Companies will file the ETDS return for paying more than Rs 5000 as dividend, if less than this you need to show
