What is the difference between the External Confirmation and comparison with Statement of
accounts obtained from External Party?

External confirmation is usually in the form of certificate.
Statement of accounts is ledgers obtained from external party

Normally it is practice to obtain parties ledgers ( Statement of Accounts ) .
