Difference between GSTR3 B and GSTR7 Turnover

I have received a message of difference in Turnover between GSTR3B and GSTR7. Our company works with Indian Railways. How can there be difference in GSTR3B and GSTR7? because GSTR7 is not applicable on us.

Quick Summary
A user is experiencing a discrepancy between their GSTR 3B and GSTR 7 turnover figures, despite believing GSTR 7 is not applicable to them. The advice suggests that if Indian Railways, a government entity, has deducted TDS, there might be an error in invoices, declarations, GST rates, HSN codes, or place of supply. Rectifying these errors or checking 26AS for actual received amounts is recommended. If the difference is substantial, filing an appeal may be necessary.

But gstr 7 is for those who have deducted TDS.
As Indian railways is a government company and they should deduct TDS. Turnover shown by them is different from your turnover declared in gstr 3b means there is any error in invoices or non declaration of invoices or error in gst rates, hsn codes, or place of supply. You have to rectify the turnover by amending invoices. As TDS is deducted so that you can check 26AS so that you can sure what is the actual amount you received from INDIAN RAILWAYS on which tds has been deducted

Hi Sourav,

Thanks for your reply.

We have 25 percent turnover to Railways. Whereas as per the the message, difference is of entire turnover for the year.

Then you should post an appeal
