What is the procedure for making a search report of a Company?

click on "VIEW PUBLIC DOCUMENTS"

find the company of which u wanna details...

select the company & click on PAY... Rs 50

if u'll pay online then u vll get da document in MY DOCUMANTS ON UR LOGINED HOME PAGE..

Hye Adarsh,

You have mentioned the procedure for LOOKING the search report on MCA portal

However, Jijo has asked how to make search report....

I would like to mention that, neither co. nor any other is not authorized to make search report except ROC.

When co. file Form 8 to ROC after making charge on co. assets within 30 days, then ROC issues search report to concerned co. subject to approval.

Search Report is nothing but the acknowledgement of ROC that charge created by co. on its assets is taken on record.

The question had been modified after my reply..
The original ques was how to get info regarding the company for making search report.

Dear Yogesh !

Can u gv the reference where it had been written that no one is authourised or only ROC will be authourised to issue Search Report ?

If so, then let me know the procedure to get Search Report from ROC becoz every bank asks for the same.. & in practice, it is very normal that a CA issues Search Report..

It is a serious matter if a CA cannot make Search Report becoz many of CA makes the Search Report..

I have mentioned the search report in respect of 'charge created by co. on its assets'.

As far as my knowledge is concerned, this matter is looked after by ROC & not the CA.

I never heard that co. created a charge on its assets & CA made the search report.

You must be talking about the different search report. Coz just a month before I have done this procedure and right from my sir to all ROC persons didn't tell me that go to ur sir (CA) and he will give u the search report.

Yeah.. ! there may be different formalities & documentation to be followed regarding the loan wid bank... what i m talking about is that Search Report in which all the important/major details is given about the company like company profile, directors/secretary/md/manager, charges, annual returns, shareholdings etc. This type of Search Report is usually asked by the banks from Practising CA/CS..

I wanna know about the search report by ROC.. wats the procedure of the same?

as much i had seen that company uploads form8 or form17 & after approval of loan ROC issues a certificate for register of charge & send to email address mentioned in that form.. no hard copy of that certificate is received till now (i hv filed approx 40-45 form8 till now).. That Certificate show only that amount for which we have filed form8 or 17.. n no details of other charges against other assets of the company..

If ROC issues detail report about all the charges against the assets of the company, then we can convince the banker wid that report itself..

so my question is what is the procedure to get search report from ROC? whether it shows all the charges of that company?

I have never heard of ROC issuing a search report (on request) on the charges on assets of the company.

I have prepared many such reports at the request of client companies (when i was with a PCS).

After creating charge on assets by co., when co. upload Form No. 8 on MCA portal, ROC issues certificate - yes, I agree with you.

THATS WHAT I WAS SAYING - That Certificate is nothing but the Search Report (as told to me by ROC officials)

Its only the charge registration certificate.. nd not the search report... that certificate shows only one charge.. the company may have more than 1 charge...

Hi Adarsh,

After ur reply, I again confirmed the same from ROC (ref. - ROC, Pune). As told by them, approval of ROC in respect of charge by co. is search report.

Now, I am in confusion that who are right - you or they?

hey buddy thats not called the search report ... !! What the ROC issues is the certificate for Registering Charge .. !! A search Report is a document that will contain the particulars of the Charge Created on the assets of the company .. !!

on filing form 8, what the ROC issues is a certificate not the search report ..!!

you are saying ROC told you so .. there must be a misunderstanding or something ..!!
