About 80CCD(2)

I have saved more than 150000 under 80c and 80ccd(1)and claiming tax deduction for it.

Can I claim deduction of same amount of nps subscripttion under section 80ccd(2) also, as it is paid by my employer?

No u can not any amount raised as deduction

If you are a employee then claim deduction under sec 80CCD(1) But upto 150000 including deduction of 80C and you can also claim additional deduction of 50000 for NPS u/s 80CCD(1B) ie; your(employee) contribution and also claim u/s 80CCD(2) ie; employer contribution....

Mr. Saket Mishra,
kindly tell how to claim deduction under section 80ccd(2). in ITR-1 it is not calculating the amount I put in that respective column. where shall I put the employer's contribution

I am facing the same problem. The ITR form does not provide deduction in respect to 80ccd(2). Need to know what I am doing wrong.

For NPS contribution (upto 50000/-), fill the amount in 80CCD 1(b).

Mr. Saket, I don't find any part 1, 2,3...and clauses in ITR-1...they are part A to part D. in which part we can put employer's contribution to NPS ?

you mean if 80ccd(2) contribution by employer is entered in we Xcel utility , then it will be accepted by itr-1 for tax deduction?

my question is simple. whether I can claim deduction of tax for the amount of contribution in NPS by my EMPLOYER ? I repeat "EMPLOYER"? If so in which column of itr-1?
