fbt paid but not credited

organization has paid fbt for ay 09&10. the paid amounts have been debited to bank accounts.
during the fy 17-18 , department has raised demand with interst for non payment of fbt
in the absence of challan how to prove to the ito that the liability has been discharged?
can only bank statement reflecting the debit towards fbt paid be submitted to ito as evidence?
