income tax on salary
I got my salary for the month of February 17 in April 17. account Dept showed it in my income for financial year 17-18 and deducted IT.

As per TDS rules, TDS on salary can be deducted and paid in the month when actual salary is paid and not in the month when salary was due
But income is to be shown for the year to which it pertains

Income from salary is taxable on due or receipt whichever is earlier basis therefore TDS was righly deducted.
