if assesse paid life insurance premium to his son. but his son was not dependent on him. so assesse can claim in 80c or not

An assessee can claim deduction u/s. 80C for the LIC premium paid for the insurance policy of his children......... whether dependent or not......

Yes, Since the Assessee is the person making the Premium payment, so he is the person eligible to claim the deduction u/s 80C

Yes, He can claim deduction u/s 80 for LIC paid for any children whether dependant or not.
