It might be possible that someone has make an error while writing his PAN in tax deposit form at SBI Bangalore or it may be typo error committed by bank-staff at SBI Bangalore.

If your outstanding tax demand is pending for any year and refund is due for some any other year then, Income Tax Department will deposit/adjust the tax demand from the refund pending on behalf of you.(Sec. 245). It might be the same issue.

Such type of adjustments are made in intimation u/s 143.
Question raised by Kishan is totally different.

You should not think to take credit of tax wrongly paid in your name as this error shall be noticed by the bank or the relevant party very soon. If possible you should send an email to the concerned branch and inform them about the error. They will then surely rectify their error in TDS return filed by them.

I think what jatin said is correct .. If u hv o/s demand for that year & refund in other year then that refund is adjusted in earlier year & showing in form 26as of earlier year ... U can cross check by date of paymnt shown in 26as & itr procesed date of refund return
